미국 국제한인간호재단(Global Korean Nursing Foundaion, GKNF-USA)은 작년에 작고하신 고 강덕희 박사의 간호계 공헌을 기리기 위하여 Duck-Hee Kang Mentoring Award in Nursing Research을 제정하고 아래와 같이 수상 후보자 모집을 홍보하고 있습니다. 아래의 내용을 참고하시어 직접 신청하여 주시기 바랍니다. 

Duck-Hee Kang Mentoring Award in Nursing Research

Please make a guideline for this award.

Eligibility Criteria

• Nurse educator or researcher who works in the higher education or research institutions.
• Demonstrates excellence in mentoring and supervising nursing doctoral students and post-doctoral fellows in research and scholarship development.
• Membership is not required to be nominated for this Award. But the primary nominator must be currently a member of GKNF.
• Award recipients in the past 5 years are not eligible to receive the same award in the current award cycle.

Application

Please provide the following information electronically in one PDF file (Subject “Duck-Hee Kang Mentoring Award in Nursing Research”) to Joo Bong Park (juneoh5@yahoo.com), Chair of Award Committee by May 12, 2017 USA EST.

1. Two letters of support from colleagues detailing the applicant’s qualities of mentoring role and impact as a mentor. One letter must come from a former/current mentee. The length of each letter should not exceed 2 pages, with 12-point font and single- spaced. Note: Self-nomination is not allowed.
2. Nomination letters should include specific examples and detailed description on the nominee (applicant)’s mentoring activities.
3. Nominee’s most recent CV

Award
The award consists of a monetary gift ($1,000) and a plaque.

Selection:
The recipient will be selected by the GKNF-USA Awards Committee or Ad-hoc committee. The awardee will be notified by May 31.
