KNA promotes self-development of members, nursing ethics, and protects its members' rights. KNA also contributes to the development of the industry through the promotion of health care, the enhancement of social welfare, and international exchanges.
With 83 years of history, KNA has 17 regional chapters and 9 affiliated organizations with newspapers and publication companies, as well as the Human Resources Development Center. KNA supports its nurses by cooperating with the Korean Society of Nursing Science and the Korean Nurses Political Society.
In addition, Korean Accreditation Board of Nursing has been launched as an autonomous regulatory organization. Korean Research Institute for Nursing Policy, which is essential for scientific policy development in Korea, was also recently launched. By launching the Korean Nurses Welfare Foundation, as well as operating welfare facilities for the elderly, KNA practices 'Care' the founding spirit of nursing.
